MICHAEL HOUSTON KING

With over 30 years of experience on both sides of the camera, Michael Houston King founded Crown Creative Content as an imaginative playground for artistic expression in his next chapter of film and television production. He wrote and produced the feature film The Way Back Home starring Julie Harris and Ruby Dee in 2006. The film received domestic and worldwide distribution deals and went on to air regularly on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Michael recently wrote and directed the pilot for Townsend, which is now winning awards on the festival circuit. He has four other feature scripts, including Lake Jesup: Terror Rising, My Best Friend, Townsend (The Third Thing), and The Land of Wonder.

As an actor in 2025, Michael can be seen on NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society in the recurring role of Mayor “Buzz” Lewis and opposite Harrison Ford in Marvel’s Captain America 4:  Brave New World. He can also be seen playing Vivica A Fox’s boss in the Tubi Original Twisted House Sitter 2. Michael has an MBA from Rollins College Crummer School of Business, an English degree from Duke University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He began his television acting career on the soap operas As the World Turns and Another World. Michael then moved to Los Angeles and made guest appearances on Homeland, Burn Notice, Men Behaving Badly, Star Trek Voyager, Philly, Drop Dead Diva, Days of Our Lives, Hyperion Bay, Saving Graces, Pacific Blue, Sliders, Unhappily Ever After, and Green Sails, where he was a series regular (shot in Australia).

From 2008-2021, Michael co-founded Elevation Financial Group, a private equity real estate company, with his brother. In that time, they raised and deployed over $100MM in the purchasing and repositioning of low-income senior towers and multi-family apartment communities across 10 states from Florida to Massachusetts. He remains an owner and he and his wife, Tammy, split their time between Atlanta and Orlando with a focus on their two daughters and five amazing grandsons.
